March 2008Spearfishing &Lobstering Trip report |
This was our 8th trip aboard the Playmate. The entire boat was D & R divers/hunters. The air and water temperatures were warmer than our previous March trips. Seas were calmer as well. This was a true eat, sleep, and dive only dive trip. We did 16 dives in just three days. We had two first time hunters with us—Tom Maslowski and Tom Sankey. Everyone enjoyed their dives and their cooler full of fishes and lobsters. |

Curacao Trip Report |
In February thirteen divers enjoyed a winter break in Curaçao. We dove with Habitat Curacao. We had the opportunity to do six boat dives and unlimited shore diving. The reef in Curacao is very healthy. The diving was fabulous. The never-ending abundance of the awesome sea life was a delight. The shore diving at Habitat Curacao was a thriving reef wall. It was just as nice as most of the sites on the boat dives. Even though most of us did 13-18 shore dives, each dive was unique. A HUGE Moray Eel was resident to the local reef. It was never difficult to find someone to dive with. We dove from about 5 am until 10 pm almost every day. Stop at the shop to see some of the photos. |
