Over the past few years we have gotten into spearfishing.   We have been doing Live-aboard charters in Florida and doing some tournaments in NC and Florida.  Below we are posting a few pictures from the spearfishing charters & tournaments.

Spearfishing Trips All about the boat!  We dive on the Playmate which is a 60' motor yacht (USCG Inspected) offers central air-conditioning, satellite TV, VCR, stereo, four separate staterooms,(2 rooms with 2 bunks, 1 room with 3 bunks, & 1 room with 4 bunks), shower facilities inside & out, specious sun deck, 2 below decks electric compressors, Nitrox is available, freshwater maker, lost of shade, easy water access and most importantly, they take very good care of us and find us lots of great fishing locations!  Maximum guests on boat is 11, so it is very spacious diving conditions. 

All about the diving! the fishing grounds extend from Key West to the Dry Tortugas which is located 50-70 miles SW of Key West, Florida.  the fish we spear are mainly Black Grouper,  Red Grouper, Hog, Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, King Mackerel, plus Lobster when in season.....

 2006 Trip Report with the Sea-Clusive Charters.  

First Trip- Trip report! March 4th-8th Denny's Birthday Trip- Great Trip!, 11 of us filled the boat, spearfishing wasn't as good as previous trips, but the lobstering made up for it.  Our boat got about 85 lobsters, with Frank & Cheryl Straub doing the best.  They were the only ones bringing back their limit... On the trip you are allowed to bring 2 days limit back per diver. Frank & Cheryl bought back the allowed limit of 24 beautiful lobsters, Bill & Nancy bought back 19, I bought back 11 (Denny didn't lobster he spearfished every dive), Eric bought back 5, and George & Rita bought back 4 lobsters, also we cooked up about 15-18  on the boat, & everyone bought back fish also. I will be posting pictures as I receive them.... Guest included Bill & Nancy Allenbaugh, Frank & Cheryl Straub, George & Rita Sankey, Kevin Powell, Eric Rheinbolt, Jim Machen, & Denny & I.  I will be posted more pictures as received.. PS.  Bob & Kimerly owners of the Sea-Clusive donated 12 shirts to our 2006 Make-A-Wish dive..... thanks Bob & Kim.

(May) Second 2006 Trip- Trip report!  Trip was great of coarse.  We had 5 new ones with us on the trip, not new divers just new to spearfishing.  What a great experience for all.... Lobster was not in season, so we couldn't do any lobstering.  On our first dive everyone was spearfishing except, Mary Zuchelli, Tom Sweet, and myself we just were practicing looking for lobsters.  Lobsters were everywhere, somehow they seemed to know they were safe, and we were only allowed to look. Mary  finally decided go do a little spearfishing she went with Denny and got 3 out of 4 fish.  Not bad for her first time....  One day some of the guys did 7 dives. Everyone had a great time..
